Wedding Flowers

Flowers!

So, on June 13, I worked half a day. That is, I tried to work I honestly could not concentrate I kept thinking on how in just a few more days I would be married, and everything would change! Also kept driving myself crazy how much still needed to be done.
Especially the flowers! See florist are awesome they do beautiful jobs but… they are crazy expensive! So, I opted on spending 600 dollars at Sam’s club and buying all the flowers I wanted then recruiting my mom and my new sis to assist me with the decorating.
Well this was the beginning of craziness!  First of all, I ordered double the number of flowers I needed! There was roses, carnations and hydrangeas and baby’s breath, lots and lots of baby’s breath! So, my mom calls me in hysterics and tells me to bring buckets! So, after work, instead of asking my boss for buckets which we have plenty in stock, I run to the nearest Walmart! Which is also the most packed and chaotic place ever! It took me 10 minutes to find parking 20 to find buckets (not one salesperson in sight) and another 15 in line. Finally, I arrive to a freezing cold house and boxes filled with flowers that still need to be unpacked, that even with all the flowers my family has already began to place in water.
So, I get to work and what do I do first? I prick myself with a rose! The thorns a size of a nickel! What the Heck! Later that evening my new sis teaches my mom and me how to safely remove the thorns and cut the tips of the flowers. Hours of bonding with each other in talking, sweat, tears and blood.
Because yes! There was much, much blood! Mostly coming from my fingers from almost chopping them off with the gardening scissors. We were finally done.
After that we let the flowers rest for the day. The following night after rehearsal (adventures to discuss in another post) I recruited several friends to assist me on an important task which was to finish with flower decorations and with making the bouquets. All while trying on my dress which I had not tried on till the night before the wedding, but that is another story for another blog.
Finally, the flowers came out great! If I do say so myself: Why don’t you judge for yourself:

Quick Check Up

WOW! 46 days since I last wrote anything! Life just gets me every time.
So here is a summary as to what I have been up to:

  • I continue working in the contract position, it's almost done and no mention whatsoever of renewal so I guess job hunting begins again
  • I am still working on my teaching certification, the course itself is going great, the practice test for the core subjects not so much
  • I just started taking birth control for the first time in my life so I can be ready on Our wedding day and I am totally freaking out
  • I had a stress attack which apparently is very similar to an  anxiety attack
  • My brother and his fiance got accepted in to a residency program very far away from here and I am completely heartbroken
  • My brother is getting married in less than a month so very happy about this
  • We still need to plan catering, cake, DJ and Flowers for My wedding and I am stressing bad
  •  Need to begin apartment hunting
  • Need to lose weight
  • Just saw Captain Marvel
  • I am in love with the greatest Man ever, and I am blessed to be marrying him in a few more months so all this craziness is bearable because i have him.
So yeah it's been quite the 46 days

Hello 2019!

Haven't written since 2019 began. It's been so hectic and crazy. The wedding is 133 days away!

That is so exciting and thrilling and I just can't wait!!!

I can't help but think about how are lives are going to change and how entwined they'll become.

The thought makes me giddy!

I am working on a 90 day contract! it's only 90 day, in fact I probably have like 50 left but work is work. I am still trying to become a teacher and I am looking forward to becoming one. I am scared about passing the test because its a bit out of my zone, but I am hoping things go well.

Anyways that s the summary for now. Fingers crossed I can start writing some more!!!

Christmas: Last One Not married

Christmas Came and it was grand!

It was my last Christmas as a single lady. It felt strange, I really wanted to enjoy time with my family,  because I know once I get married things will not be the same.

I am obviously excited to be getting married! I am blessed to be marring the love of my life, my one and only. I can barely contain the excitement. The idea of being by his side for the rest of my life is magnificent! I sort of wish we had met years ago so we could begin our life together sooner!

Yet despite all the excitement there is. a part of me that is a bit, melancholic. I feel weirded by how after the wedding my whole life will change! I will go from living at my home with my mom and my grandparents to living with a man! I am excited and nervous and its strange!

The idea of living with HIM makes me HAPPY! The happiest I've ever been knowing I will spend the rest of my life by his wonderful side! yet a part feels a tiny bit sad to leave the place I've called home for so many years! Its a bit sad not having my mom around all the time. Yes I might sound like a little girl but hey I will say it again, I will miss having my mom around!

So I am enjoying all those last special occasions that will be my last as a single lady.
Next year I will be writing on how wonderful splendid Married life is I am sure but for now lets talk about last unmarried days.

31st Bucket List

So I just realized that I haven't done my yearly bucket list, so here it goes in no particular order:

  1. Will marry the love of my life! The person I adore, love admire, respect and can't live without. He is my blessing and I will promise this year to be his FOREVER, to always be true and faithful and to do my best to make him happy and make sure our love continues to grow.
  2. Will enjoy my last Christmas as a single lady, it's a bit sad to think that it is my last Christmas living at home. At this time, I am experiencing many emotions and most of them are happy happiness like I have never experienced before, but a small part of me is a tiny bit melancholic. It's weird to think I won't see my mom every day nor my grandparents,  nor my aunt, not even my little puppy Suki. I am not complaining living with the man I love will be amazing but part of me will miss the old days.
  3. Make sure to give the love of my life a freakin fantastic Birthday!!!!!!
  4. Finish my teaching certification, pass the exams
  5. Get a job as a teacher!
  6. Read 50 books in one year. Overly ambitious but will try!
  7. Attend Little brothers March ceremony.
  8. Attend little brothers Wedding !!!!  I will get a new sister!!!
  9. Attend little brothers and my brand new sister's Graduation!
  10. Go on a mini moon!!!
  11. Go on an amazing Honeymoon and getting my love his first stamp on his passport!
  12. Continue to write on blog!
  13. Get an apartment with the love of my life! Make it OUR home!
  14. Get a puppy! Adoption!
  15. Stop drinking coke
  16. Stop chewing gum
  17. Stop eating sweets
  18. Stop biting nails
  19. Be healthier (doctor visits, vaccinations, eating better, exercise more, etc)
  20. Win the lottery!
  21. Become more organized!
  22. Pray more! Read bible more, do more things toward God my savior. To remind myself every day that I am in His hands, that He knows best, that I just have to say YES!

For now lets leave it at 22... I want to leave room for surprises this year!

31st Bring It ON

Yesterday was my birthday!

I feel incredibly blessed. The day was perfect. During the morning I received a lot of phone calls, and messages and singing telegrams from all my friends and family.

In the afternoon my family and my fiancé took me to enjoy a delicious dinner at Buca Di Beppo. It was so much fun, the only person missing was my little brother and his fiancé but oh well I guess they will have to come celebrate me laters. It was an amazing meal, we ate, took beautiful pictures, enjoyed in upbeat conversations and just enjoyed ourselves together.

After the meal my honey took me on a shopping spree!!! He ended up buying me a bunch of things: two purses, an iPad case, a strawberry soap, and a purse holder. He is spoiling me rotten! I keep telling him he doesn't have to but he just keeps on pampering me! But the best gift he got me was a handwritten letter. Those are my kryptonite! He is so honest and true, and romantic that my poor heart doesn't stand a chance, it just keeps falling even deeper in love with him, and it is the absolute best things he can do for me. His sincere and loving words fill my love tank all the way!!!!

Then we went to his parents house, his sister and parents had gifts for me too. They are the sweetest! I told them it wasn't necessary but they insisted! amazingly kind!

So that was my last B-day as a single lady, next year I will be a married lady! So excited!!!!

Stressful November

So This is going to be a very busy month.

I am a bit worried!

Excited but worried.

It just feels very overwhelming.

I start the Online Teacher Certification this week and I am terrified!

I haven't studied, or done any sort of school since collage and that was back in 2010!

Also have a pretty big interview this week and I am so nervous because I really want the job! It has benefits and a 401K and its a Monday through Friday thing and that would be awesome because I can totally use the weekends for wedding planning.

Also this week is my birthday and I haven't even had time to begin making my new bucket list. And I haven't even began planning how I want to celebrate the big 31st!

I guess If I am being perfectly honest, all I want is:

a) A nice family breakfast, it's strange to think its my last birthday as a single lady. By next year I will have a handsome hubby, a new last name and a new zip code.

b) A day out with the fiancé! Maybe a picnic, just us. Then maybe convince him to accompany me to mass

c) End the day having some friends over to the house for some drinks

Well I have 5 days to plan all of this, wish me luck.

Also in a totally less important issue  I borrowed a book and I forgot I had borrowed it and now I need to return it by Wednesday! Can I finish it?... We shall see!
