Went to the moll for the first time since I began the No Dr. Pepper Plan and It was going swell stores keep my mind busy but when my family stopped to eat at the food court, all I saw everywhere was Dr. Pepper! Everyone around me was drinking it!
I Felt horribly strong cravings today!
Stuffed myself with fries to avoid the urge to consume Dr. Pepper!!!

I think not drinking  Dr. Pepper will make me gain weight.

Day Eleven: No Dr. Pepper: Calm For Now

Had a coffee and lots of water. Very refreshing.
Didn’t feel like a junkie today.

I started to believe I might actually make it from this disastrous task

Day Eight No Dr. Pepper: Considering Cheating !!!

They say it takes 28 days to get rid of a habit. Well 20 more to go!

The morning seemed to go by quick I didn't even feel the urge to drink Dr. Pepper until the night.

But at night the urge came strong I almost succumb my brother helped me appease the craving by joking at the possibility of having to drink gallons of it while it was hot and gas-less. And then by suggesting I add garlic in to the mix.

If i cheated in a slip at the middle of the night who would know?

Christmas

Christmas came and went. Too fast if you ask me.

I miss Christmas already! and it wont be back for another year,

I just  love the feelings that Christmas brings.

And its not just the gifts, and the hot cocoa, or the delicious meals.

Its like the sensation of Hope being reborn.

To imagine that if a God made himself a man to come in to this cruel worlds as a small defenseless little babe! He came fully knowing we were cruel beings and despite our evilness loved us, despite our wretchedness he sacrificed himself and let himself be crucified. To know in ones heart that this happened and that it happens every time we have communion how can one not have hope!

Hope for a better world, hope for more out of life. Not just hope, FAITH!

A devoted, unquestionable faith !!!!

May that faith live in your hearts forever, don't let the pains of  this upcoming year make you forget that faith.

Never forget God Loves you!

Day Seven No Dr.Pepper, Christmas Day.

Woke up feeling fine. Still sick but not craving anything

Drank a lot of tea and coffee, and in full disclosure some wine!

I am starting to like coffee!!! Especially the smell. Dr. Pepper never really smelled like anything.

Spiked my last coffee cup with Kalua yummy!!!

Only felt craving for Dr. Pepper near dinner time, when I was eating my mashed potatoes.
 Maybe its a Christmas miracle!!!

Day Six No Dr. Pepper: Christmas Eve

Woke up with a really clogged nose and raspy voice.

Can’t prove that me being sick is due to lack of Dr. Pepper. My entire family laughed at the suggestion. But I still firmly believe it!!!

Head ache has began again. It’s becoming habit.

Had a Strong Dr. Pepper Craving all day!!!

Hated Lil brother for drinking Dr. Pepper in  front of me!

Can't blame him Dr. Pepper is Good!!!!

Day Five No Dr. Pepper: I Am Being Attacked !!!

Woke up sick today, aching and runny nose. I have no evidence but I believe lack of Dr. Pepper has damaged my immune system, making me susceptible to germs. Head feeling heavy, neck feeling tired. Considering cutting head off, I could pull the headless horseman style! Why is headless horseman a man and not a woman? Sexist! Darn I’ve started to hallucinate and babble!!!

Can’t breath!!!!!!!!!

No Dr. Pepper is killing me.

Day Four No Dr. Pepper. Coffee Friend or Foe?

No headaches but my arms are hurting. Especially weird pain and sensation on left arm My neck is very sore.

Prepared coffee at work, tasted TERRIBLE.

Note to self: Buy more sugar and cream

Left arm bothering me. Feeling tingly
Having horrible acid reactions to coffee. Coffee is evil!!!

Dilema: No coffee = falling asleep

                        Coffe = stomach acid

Day Three: No Dr. Pepper Maybe I can make it!!!

Sunday, thank God!!! Had time to sleep!
Feeling slightly less tired. Surprised Grandma by asking for Coffee
Had to cup fulls!!! Again that jumpy feeling I don’t like it but it’s the only thing that keeps me up!!!

Had no aspirin today!!!

Felt head slightly heavy but no pain.

My aunt had a Diet Coke in front of me, she did that naturally induced “Ahhh” Sound I almost yanked her drink from her!

Contained hands and ate lots of Hotcakes!

Coffee again two more cups. Felt less jumpy but still no satisfaction. Water intake has also increased! Still find it Tasteless!!!

Looking for Alternative options to drink.

Day Two No Dr. Pepper TIRED SO TIRED!!!

Still feeling tired and my head is heavy but I appear to be pain free. I took two aspirins just to prevent the headache from returning. I wonder if I am replacing Dr. Pepper with aspirins.

I had a cup of coffee, the taste isn't great but it woke me up. Took second cup and felt hyper, very jumpy. Still think quitting Dr. Pepper was a horribly lame idea!!!!

Brief moment of considering canceling trip.

Tried a Cold Peppermint Tea! first thing that i have tried other than Dr. Pepper to give me a brief moment of pleasure! Hated the hassle of having to first brew it then adding ice, and spilling most of it on the floor.

Day one No Dr. Pepper! Feeling Murderous!!!

Day one:

I can feel my body ache. It reminds me I haven’t yet taken my doses! My hands feel week and trembling. I have begun to feel my head heavy and hot.
As the day continues my head hurts, the pain intensifying every minute.
Drank more water than ever! Its fresh but still not satisfying.

I drove from work to my house and I was falling asleep. I think it might have been a bad idea to quit.
Hating Europeans!!! what is wrong with them why do they hate Dr. Pepper!!!
Took a total of six aspirins all day!

Confessions of a Dr. Pepper Addict Attempting to Quit.

Motivation is hard to come by. Nothing in this world would have ever made me consider to stop drinking Dr. Pepper! Not the calories, not the health issue my almost Doctor little brother the Bug insisted on scaring me with, and not the millions of comments of people insisting my habits sucked!

I had Dr. Pepper for breakfast, and Dr. Pepper for Lunch and two Dr. Peppers for dinner and Dr. Pepper in between meals and well one last Dr. Pepper right before bed because who didn't love a nice relaxing bubbly beverage after breakfast!

Water was something I hardly ever drank, it had been slowly replaced by Dr. Pepper.
I hate to admit it but I could on occasions feel my heart race and my veins feel stiff as if blood had turned in to a sort of paste. not that i worried about it, when i felt that way i simply took it as a reminder to drink a glass of water to smooth things out a bit

Still I didn't stop. I drank and drank and drank!

If anyone wanted me to smile all they had to do was give me a glass of crushed ice and Dr. Pepper! Dr. Pepper was all I needed I could even skip whole meals if I had a Dr. Pepper in its place.

But then one day I decided to take a trip to Europe!
Yes Europe and along the planning and investigating and what not! I discovered through my almost Sister friend that Dr. Pepper is nearly impossible to obtain in Europe!!! I began to have a panic attack!!!!

Finally the day came I had to admit I needed to quit if I had any chance of enjoying my trip which would happen in seven months! After 27 years of nonstop Dr. Pepper drinking I needed to get started!!!

So here it goes, Ill keep you posted on the progress!!!

Christmas!

Christmas is almost here!!!

I know its really cliche to say that it is the "MOST WONDERFUL" Time of the year!
But come on, it TOTALLY IS!!!!

There is delicious special season drinks at Starbucks: Light the Venti Pumpkin Spice Latte!
There is a whole new wardrobe of possibilities!
Hats are in!
Scarfs are in!
Plus sweater that hide the enormous amount of sweets we devour in this time!

Days are shorter!, time runs faster!, Cold gets me cuddly!

And to top all these amazing things!

CHRIST IF BORN!

I can't say its a fact but i think the entire earth feels on the precipice of something big during this month!
Even the nonbelievers, They might not be sure what is going on but they can feel it!
There is sudden need to get things done, ready. The feeling of preparing overcomes us all!
Also humanity feels a little more hopeful, strangers are less aggressive towards one another.
And the feeling of peace begins to envelop us/

I know I know! there are still horrible things happening all over the world
but i have an explanation for that as well. Again not a Fact but its what i think.
Since Christ is getting ready to come down to us once again, the enemy, the devil he is trying to
stir up trouble!
he is trying to hurry and meddle in to our affairs to distract us of the true purpose of this season.

He wants us to focus on gifts, on spending, on drinking. The fallen one will stop at nothing to keep us so distracted from our Salvation, he wants us to fall to temptation, to succumb to our dark inner desires.
He tries it all to glamour us in to oblivion

But No way are we letting that happen!
Along Mary and Joseph and the angels in heaven we are preparing our hearts to welcome that divine baby, our precious Jesus Christ in to our homes and in to our hearts.

So don't say things like Happy holidays, because under the facade of being politically correct.
you are giving a victory to someone else (ahem : Satan)

Simply SAY IT LOUD AND SAY IT PROUD AND SAY IT HOPEFUL

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Merry Christmas from me to you!
Merry Christmas today and always!
Merry Christmas Jesus!
Merry Christmas to all !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Another Birthday Post

So days before my 27th  birthday, I started thinking and mentally analyzing
every detail of my life.
I know BAD IDEA!!!
The more I looked the less I liked it.

It wasn't so much that my life was bad,
it had more to do with having strayed so far away from the plan!
I never wanted to be working sales,
I absolutely wouldn't have thought I'd be living in Houston, Texas.
and well million other details like that.

So I began to feel blue,
and well I began wallowing in my own pathetic self pity
It's always been easy for me to wallow. I do it excessively well.
For me It's like a seductive drug, that entices you to keep on
looking through the blackest of lenses.

But as many drugs, there is a moment where control is lost.
And one succumbs, jumping in to the abysmal, enchanted by the fall.
until all you see, is black, tarnished, pained, seductive evil desires of defeat.

I hate it when I fall,
and I hate my self for looking down the edge,
after all its one look that sends me spiraling down. I hate myself for being weak,

I've never made it to the bottom, I've been close that I know
but I never make it all the way down.
I think that the day I do
that day i shall surely perish

But for now, I am climbing out.
its harder than falling,
its tiresome and monotonous
its painful and bright.
there is hope at the top, which keeps me going.
though vines and doubts
thorns and broken plans grab hold of me.
Trying to stop, to blind me.

A voice inside me tells me  "Let go of the plan,
Things are easier  to climb with both hands free"

But I refuse!

And so I wonder where I'll be for birthday 28th?
Dead? Alive? Daydreaming?
Will the darkness have swallowed me whole?
Will the climb to the top be done? will it have been worth it?

Flowers

I got flowers on my birthday.

Two sets

One was from my dad which was totally expected!
My dad isn't the perfect dad, he  has done countless mistakes
and is probably the person who has made me cry most in my life.

Still Dad has always done one things right.
My Dad has always given me flowers on special occasions!!!
And they always make me smile like an idiot and well flowers are just perfect.

However, in this post i don't wish to discuss my dad's flowers, instead i'd like to focus the attention to the second set of flowers i received.

I got the second set when i got home after work.
I opened the door and there they were! the most beautiful flowers ever
the kind of arrangement that reminds you of the perfect spring day!

My heart rushed.
My mind went straight to you.
Yes you! (Hopefully you know who you are)
I imagined you going through the trouble of figuring out my address
and then picking the flowers (not that anyone still hand picks bouquets)
With no evidence at all my idiotic heart hoped the flowers came from you.

Silly I know!
my heart leaped and twirled as I set my bag down and rushed toward the flowers
I opened the card as a paper cut tried to stop me.
Perhaps my fingers tried to warn this stubborn heart

Obviously they weren't from you
Dear sweet grandma sent them.
Flowers are still flowers
and i was still thrilled to have two sets of flowers.
still my heart sank
my chest feeling heavier and colder.

My mind reasoned,
I haven't spoken to you in MONTHS!
I haven't the slightest clue where you are
...why would you know where i am.
I have no idea if you are safe, happy,
...suffering from a severe case of amnesia?

Stupid brain thinks its so smart my heart says as it sinks deeper.

See my brain thinks my heart is naive.
and yes it might seem that way
but really my heart knows things won't ever be as they were
back when we talked every single day. My heart know those days are long gone.

But did you have to disappear completely?
is there a sign you could send, just to know you are Okay?

Flowers perhaps?

Birthday Month

Well maybe require isn't the word, after all this is a blog not an assignment.

How Are You?

Isn't it funny how many times we ask the question "How are you?" the answer usually extremely concise, "Good" "Bad" and most of the time the answer is ignored, "How are you?"  silence as response.

Its just a formality really, a question to ask before the point is made, a meaningless tradition that makes us feel more human. No one gives an honest answer, perhaps cause we don't want to impose, or perhaps because the truth is that one word responses don't really ever cover  "How we are"

I suppose a long time ago, when carriages covered the streets and there wasn't and WiFi, perhaps then people cared about the answer. But, even then  would people have been honest?
I like to think they were no matter how long the answer was, or how complicated and ridiculous.

"How are you?" They'd say and I'd answer:

For now I am content!

For many being content might not seem like huge accomplishment. Most people would rather be thrilled! or amazed! or at the very least Happy! And I would like to feel those things too, but I am different. For me emotions come like roller coasters. I am happy for silly things like finishing a book i loved, then i can feel lost and lonely simply by watching an empty seat.
I daydream a lot, and I have nightmares most nights. I have dark circles under my eyes as black as bruises but make up is a sort of magical tool at my disposal.
I am amazed at little pink flowers, and upset over my favorite character dying.
I laugh hard and loud over silly things and black humored jokes. And cry over things i can't control.
I hate it all and love it more!
I live intensely, which is

admirable? Not really

Its exhausting.

Hope makes me this way. I hope for things that aren't coming, and long for things that don't exist.
Life like this drives me slowly mad, I see bursts of colors all around, and darkening shadows envelope me.
Yes most of the time life spins faster than I can handle but not today, not now.

For now I am content.

Content with having dreams that haven't been pursued,
content with plans with no date
content with solitude and silence.

So I ask now,  How are you?  (Your honest answer)

Coward

I admit it i am a coward!
I use reason as a shield.
I blame my heart, its grown tired
Its lost its moxie.
I am a coward,
I have learned to survive
Yet I have no idea of how to live.
I yearn for the future,
And long for the past.
To terrified to live today.
I am a coward,
Admitting it is the first step.

Random Thoughts Of Funny Minds.

It's funny how details that seem small can mean more to us than we could ever fully explain. Like meeting some one and not really noticing how important that person might become in you life. How small 2hr conversations become pillars of friendship, how writing to some one everyday becomes routine, a routine you live for. How everything in your day seems to bring you back to that one person. Funny how something so simple as writing can make you notice even small details. Even things that seemed so silly are now turned in to great anecdotes But why is it a constant human flaw that we never really appreciate what we have until its gone? Or maybe we did appreciate it, in fact we grew to love it, but maybe it was the love that blinded us and we just never thought it would end But its funny how everything ends. It's funny, you never know which words will be the lasts, his? yours? The memory of those words will probably torture you day and night, twilight to dawn. They never are the words you want to say the most. They are trivial words, meaningless words, words we tend to regret. It's funny how regret can consume us. Maybe its not regret maybe its just surprise ...Shock not knowing what you did or what you said to make things end. And so begins the unhuminizing self evaluation of all our words. It's funny how you know you are willing to do whatever it takes to get those things back, yet there is nothing you can do. Words can't be taken back, can't be unheard or unread. its like the ink has melted through your eyes in to your brain. It's funny how letting go is easier said than done. It's even funnier how much silence hurts, and why should silence hurt? isn't it just the absence of noise? yet I find noise more tolerable than the infinite questions silence arouses. But is it still funny how after months I still miss Him? How silly is it that subconsciously I still find myself viewing situations as how he would see them?

Yeah its funny, in a melancholic kind of way: Freaking Hilarious
