TINDER EXPERIMENT

Have you heard about Tinder?

I had heard about it. The new Hook up app.

It didn't sound like something I wanted to try out.
Again being goody-two-shoes. But come on who wants to join an app that is promoted as a hook app?

I sure didn't.

Plus I'd started to watch this new T.V series called Eye Candy and there is this murderer who gets his victims from a site called Flirtual, which well to me seemed to be Tinder. So I refused to get on the App. It might be in everyone's phones but it would never be on mine. So I swore.

It wasn't when I accidentally discovered a dear friend using it (I will refrain from mentioning any names for anonymity) I made fun of this person. I mean I seriously made fun, and I am not normally the type of person to do so, well not a lot. But after that it began to bug me. Why use Tinder? I never hook up much less with random strangers. Could one find love on Tinder? I highly doubted it

So I had began Tindering with this guy. I explained it was my first time using it and he was kind enough to chat with me for a few days. He was sweet and funny and his pic looked cute, so as the days passed I thought it might actually be fun to meet him. I began to seriously consider it.

Well before I even had a chance to suggest this he texted this:

Well, pretty fairy tale lady, I've finally decided what I want from this app and you seem too sweet and shy for the things I've decided on. Good luck and I wish you the best

So I guess that Tinder is most definitely a hook up app...

I thought about deleting it. but it sort of addicting. I am so in to the whole swiping thing it makes me feel powerful!!!

I will most likely Delete it soon since I really don't believe any meaningful relationship could ever come out of it. But I might have a little more fun swiping first. I know most people on it are doing it to Hook up, but as I mentioned above I don't do random hook ups. So for me its all about the swiping!

Is it bad?

Maybe

But I am not really in to dating at the moment. My life has so much going on at the moment that I don't really feel in the mood to date anyone.

Not saying that I am completely closed about the idea of meeting Mr. Right I am just not in any hurry to meet him. And I know Tinder won't be where I find him but its fun to have strangers tell you are cute, a big ego boost, and its also safe to have it done from the distance of my phone!!! Have you heard how many weirdos are out there?

So yeah for now Tinder fits in perfectly at least for a few more days.

Are any of you guys having fun Tindering?

Where are you meeting Mr. or Mrs. Right?

Miryamella!!! A Modern Cinderella Dream Night

Day Two of the convention started off much better than the first day.

I got too see more designs and had a delicious turkey ham sandwich with Dijon mustard.

And then when the day was over we went back to our hotel and watched a movie. The 2004 Punisher movie, which sucks but is addictive to watch, there is something brilliant of driving the man who killed your entire family to kill his gay best friend out of  jealousy about him screwing his sexy wife and then at the end dragging his dying injured corpse thru a garage where exploding cars make it look like an actual hell.

I was really disappointed about that. Not the movie itself but that I actually had time to watch this movie instead of going to Disney, and hating myself for not bringing a bathing suit to at the very least enjoy a dip.

So When I was bored out of my mind and getting ready to put on my pj's. I was told I was invited to go to Dinner with my bosses!!!

I jumped at the idea cause I was dying to go out! I wanted to explore Orlando! I wanted to get to at least see the Disney fireworks, I wanted something besides staying couped in. So I rushed to my room and slipped in to my dream blue dress! I had bought this dress like two months ago but being the boring person that I usually am I hadn't had the opportunity to use it.

Yes I looked fabulous! (Or at the very least I felt fabulous) but it also was way more dressy than what my bosses were wearing. I didn't care! I wanted to flaunt it!

I was expecting there to be a whole bunch of people at the dinner we were attending. but no.
It was just my boss (Who I think its important to mention is also my uncle) my other boss and a friend of them, like an old boss or something.

We went down to the City Walk It was pouring rain, Which made me panic about my purse. See when you don't own a bunch of good stuff it makes you protect your only Michael Kors bag more than your hair or glasses. Plus I wore my only heels I'd taken to the trip which meant I had to walk super slow so my shoe wouldn't fall.

The rain slowed in to a nice chippy chippy and we got to enjoy the walk. Most everyone was leaving the Universal parks. It killed me to be so close from the Harry Potter Theme park and not be able to actually go in! I am definitely planning my next vacations there.

So Dinner was nice. We ate at the Hard Rock Cafe I was most definitely over dressed. Dinner was quite tasty but the company wasn't great I mean it  was nice but the three of them have known each other for years. They start talking, and joking and I have to piece together information to even pretend to understand what is going on. I was so bored! I didn't get to say more then a handful of words including: "Hello, Thank you, May I have the salt, and Excuse me" I have never felt more like a dumb blonde than during that dinner.

So by the end I was ready to rush to the hotel and sleep.

But as we walked back thru the City Walk my boss/uncle saw some clubs and decided it be fun for us to stop there and see where the night took us.

I am not a fan of clubs! no that's an understatement. I hate clubs, The music is way too loud to talk and the drinks are always so freaking expensive and never ever good. and I had shoes on that kept on falling!
Not only that but I was going clubbing not only with my bosses but with my uncle!!! Yes I was dreading the idea of going clubbing, but I couldn't exactly say that.

So first we took a look at this Bob Marley type of club, the music didn't sound so bad but when we took a look inside there were like five people in there, the only thing worst than a packed club is an empty club ! it look kind of like that scene from the movie Yes Man,  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RbB0apnfJWU
Just plain sad, hilarious but sad.

So We decided not to pay cover for that! and kept on walking. The more we walked the more I hoped that they would put the idea of clubbing behind and I could just forget the night. But then Salsa music began playing and my uncle got really excited! He asked "Miryam do you like Salsa" He asked it really excited so I couldn't blurt out a big NO as I wanted to so instead I just said I didn't know how to dance.

"Oh I don't dance either but I love watching people dance, Here in Florida there are a lot of Cubans and they are excellent dancers!" My uncle said excitedly as he walked us to the club.  I don't know if that fact is true about Cubans or not but I didn't really care I didn't want to be there. I make it a policy to not go clubbing with family members unless they are my age. So as I followed my uncle in to the club I was stopped by this petite browned hair girl, she stopped me so I'd show her my Id.

I normally don't mind being asked for my Id it makes me enjoy being young. But something of being the only person in the group being asked for it was just a little bit embarrassing. Not only that but I got so flushed and nervous that I showed the girl my hotel card instead of my Id. See the night did not look promising at all!!!

As we walked in we found a table with out chairs and we stood there. I ordered an Amaretto Sour. It isn't my favorite drink in the world but  it does the job and since I hardly ever go out drinking it is pretty much the only name I know. unless I have like a tequila shot, or something along those lines.
So we are there and everyone is quiet my uncle has such a sour larynx that he can't even talk anymore. The other guy there is super quiet, and serious and the only one acting really crazy is my other boss who wants me to go dance with her. I pretend I don't hear her and smile. Its believable enough cause the music is so loud.

Finally we get a hold of chairs and all I can do is observe. I  look at the cute guy standing with his arms crossed in the center of the dance floor and I am intrigued. He looks mysterious. That illusion dies as soon as he begins wobbling his head like an idiot. He not only cannot dance but he keeps on scaring the girls around him. Then there is the girl who is clearly her birthday. She is having a blast she switches partners and yells any time someone says something to her. Her outfit is pretty cool long on the back low cut on the front. flowy sort of dress. Then there is the lesbian couple standing right in front of us. The only reason I see them is cause the guy sitting with us stares at them in shocking eyes. They are caressing each others butts. I don't like watching anyone caressing each others butts. Its just not something I like. It doesn't matter if you are straight or gay can you please not do it in front of my table. I mean you do realize your butt is at the level of my table right? Who wants to see that!???

I turn to avoid he butt show when  I see him! Right after the but caresses. A tall guy with black hair like three piercings in his ears and a sleeve of tattoos. I like bad boys. I have never dated one but I like them. There is something enticing about a guy that breaks the rules. maybe I am your typical cliche of girl that thinks she can fix them. What ever it is I like to watch bad boys as they interact with the world. They have an air of power and egotism. I am staring at this guy for most of the night. Secretly wanting hims to come to my table and ask me to dance and then probably having to shoot him down, since I am not self destructive I like bad boys but I don't fall for them I might feel like I can handle them but I know I can't. Still I stare at him and fantasize about him asking me.

When all of a sudden I feel a stare at the back of my neck. I unconsciously turn to face a guy that can only be described as prince charming looking. but not that typical blonde hair one with the muscles and sword. More like the short dark hair. Light eyes that I think might be blue, and a smile that melts you in to a puddle.  I wonder how I hadn't noticed this Prince before.

I avert my eyes totally embarrassed that he caught me staring, when all of the sudden I realize He was the one staring first. I am not the one staking I am being stalked. I turn to him again and this time get a good look at his clean cut cloths. long sleeve shirt and again that smile.

I give half a smile and turn away again. I fear he wont come anywhere close to me due to my companions.
I begin to feel even worst then before when all of the sudden someone is at my ear, My prince! He asks me to dance in a low deep manly voice and I don't even have time to react when I hear my voice say yes. I know its instinctively cause my brain is telling me not to dance. I usually don't like to dance with strangers at clubs cause they usually try to caress  my butt, or pull me uncomfortably close,  Its always more like a battle than a dance. Plus I am a really really horrible dancer. I have zero coordination, if I had a penny for every time I've stepped on a guy's foot I'd be as rich as Taylor Swift or something. Yeah so best case scenario guys pull and twirl me like a ragged doll and I end up injuring other fellow dancers. Which is why I generally do not dance.

Still I found myself walking to the dance floor with prince charming. I tell him I don't know how to dance, and he says he doesn't either. He pulls me close, but keeps it respectful. His hand is at my back but he doesn't make an attempt to go lower. he begins swinging me and I can tell immediately that he can SO dance!!! He moves me with ease he turns and swirls me. But this time its different than other times, he is protecting me I don't bump in to anyone and  I don't step on anyone. Its as if he has some sort of magical power that all of a sudden makes me a less bad dancer. Still as a precaution I keep looking down at our feet

"My name is Max" The prince says and I can see how the name suits him. he pulls the hair out of my face as I tell him my name. We keep on dancing. He tries to ask more things but the music is louder here in the dance floor. He kisses my cheek, I am stunned. I felt the spark of chemistry immediately but I don't want him to kiss me. I don't kiss random strangers I don't know. But I can't move away he kisses my cheek again. and then he keeps swinging me. His hands stay respectfully in place and he doesn't make a move to kiss me more. We just dances he lifts my head "Don't look at your feet!. Dance with me what matters is the person not how they dance" I smile idiotically at him and then he says "There is that smile, I like your smile"
I can't stop smiling after that. Looking probably like a complete fool but I don't care cause Prince Charming likes my smile!!!

We dance until the lights go on. Its last call, he walks me to my table and stays there for a minute. He asks me if I am on vacation or work or if I live there. I explain I am on a business trip and that these are my bosses. I don't introduce him. He tells me he is from Naples, And I know he isn't from Italy because he doesn't have an accent so I assume there is a Naples, Fl or a Naples, TX or another USA Naples. I neglect to ask him any specifics. The nerves I have do not let me speak. But I like that he is still holding my hand.

He asks how long I am there for. I tell him I am leaving on the next day. He tells me he has a driver and asks if I need a ride back to my hotel. Part of me wants to say yes, cause I want to get to know more about this prince Max. But I say no. deciding to stay the good girl I am used to being. He respects that, he kisses my hand and says his goodbyes.

As soon as he is out of sight it dwells on me.

I don't know his last name.

I don't have an email, a Facebook not even a twitter.

I don't have any evidence of the most perfect guy ever except for my bosses and my uncle who are witnesses to the events

I wont ever see him again. which gives me a blue feeling. but the fact that he made my night a dream night remains. A perfect night to remind me that good guys are out there. a night that reminds me that I do look Amazing in Blue. A night that makes it true that anyone can be a princess and find her prince. A night that stays in my dreams even now. A night that well couldn't have been better. I was Miryamella for one night and it was totally Smashing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I do wish I had a picture though.

#Blondie #NoNoPoo

OK That does it! I am quitting the No Poo Method.

Yes I know I am a wuss and I should have stuck with it for longer!
But when even my grandmother who loves my hair. Even she though my hair was looking lifeless and dull and not shine and bright like I normally have it as (Not trying to brag. OK maybe a little) When she first told me I was so mad (I am not good and being told the things I don't want to hear which is why I didn't listen to my mom the first five hundred times she said my hair was looking dull )

So after the crazed anger lowered in to a mild anger I began to read about the No Poo method again this time I searched for people against it. I was surprised that there were quite a few people who blamed the no poo method for their brittle dry hair. But still I denied it saying they hadn't man up and stuck on it for the six weeks for the adjustment period. And then I said well It will work for me!

But well I am not saying it didn't work because I did see a great improvement on my tips, they looked smoother less like hay more like actual hair. but the shine was disappearing with each day that passed, My hair was looking boring and less blonde.

So anyways now that the anger is gone completely I guess I can bring myself to accept that my hair is looking dull, and maybe it was the  I've come up with a compromise, I will stop washing my hair every day because well I do think it needs to breath from shampoo and conditioner every so often but When I shower I am totally using Shampoo again. What can I say I love the shine I only get from Shampoo.

So please let me know if it worked for you or if it didn't I want too see more opinions to see if I am making the right move here.

Day ONE of Business Trip

Things did not start off well on my business trip. First of all My Plane was for seven in the morning so I had to wake up at 4:30 am !!! a thing to know about me is I am not a morning person. I don't function properly until lets say ten in the morning. So I was groggy and I had to wear a nice outfit and make up cause as soon as I landed in Orlando Florida, where the convention was going to be held it was going to be work work work.

So I arrive at the airport and have to check my bag, I decide to take it with me since  its not so big but guess What? This company called Spirit! charges you for everything!!! for Bringing carry on, for checking bags, for water Even for freaking peanuts!

After that I had to get trough security! I hate how security in airports is so painful, no offense but the people working security should have to take like a manners seminar or something. It's like they tell them to yell at you and be mean. It sucks especially at 5:30 am!. My brain cannot function that early and then you yelling isn't helping anyone!

After the stress of having to get almost naked to please the bitch at security I am finally allowed to get dress and but some caffeine! Caffeine is a true true friend. but not at Starbucks no offense but why those it always give me a stomach ache after I have Starbucks.

My flight sucked!!! I was stuck with a stupid middle seat! Its awful there is no way to be comfortable in a middle seat. So by the time I got to my destination my neck was sore and stiff. I get there an Hour before my coworker gets there so I have to wait which is fine by me cause I get some reading done! Currently book I am reading is sort of a biography of Mindy Kaling, She is like my super hero she is a smart beautifully funny women, who is a writer! I mean she wrote episodes of The Office! it doesn't get funnier than that. And then she is also a  producer and an actress and not only that but she was coworker and  dated and is still friends with B.J .Novak!!! No one is smarter nor cuter than Bj.J.Novak! seriously. So I am way in to my book that I don't realize that the hour has passed and I have no calls from my coworker. Finally after more time passes and I feel I've read more than I should have I notice my phone read NO SERVICE! I am going crazy afterwards trying to get service so I can get the phone call.

Finally after a whole lot of not being able to use my phone and a whole while getting lost in the hugeness of the airport I finally meet up with my coworker and after long minutes in line to get our rental car, (We met Jason our Hertz Rent a car desk helper he was from Costa Rica and was really surprised that I spoke Spanish, apparently blondes shouldn't be able to speak Spanish I guess. So any way after the shock of me speaking Spanish wore off he recommended we try the frog legs or the crocodile something. He explained it had the texture of chicken but the taste of fish. I pretended that it didn't sound awfully gross.)

We got to the convention center around one it was so late I thought we would get something to eat, but nop it was work time! No time for food, even though I'd had only had Starbucks coffee and half a lemon pound cake. So As I walked in to the convention center, (I had to change my shoes before leaving the car, because my heals kept falling off, It was very annoying and so embarrassing) I had no idea what to expect but nothing could have prepared me for the enormity and awesomeness of it all.

There were thousands of stands and modules and hundreds of Tiles, Porcelain Ceramic, Marble, Glass. It was a menagerie of ideas and textures. Then I was introduced and I felt like a fish in the water meeting and talking to people who sold us tile and I could now put a face to them It was fun to discuss styles and prices and a whole lot of details that most of you wouldn't probably enjoy but I did  I loved learning about Texrite's new grout color that adapts to glass, or about the new pebble flooring that comes in a mat, Or how a machine can cut through marble just using water pressure. I was having tons of fun, and I took a bunch of contraband pictures that I probably shouldn't post here.

Another perk I wasn't expecting was that there were people giving free ice cream, wine, Tequila Shots! I know Who knew Tile people were so much fun!!!

So after the conference we finally got to go eat! and even though my chicken as burnt a little it was great and my stomach was grateful. Afterwards We were suppose to head back to the hotel, while our bosses went for a meeting but I was told I could drop them off and keep the car. My first instinct was panic! I hate driving cars that aren't mine, and I don't like driving in cities I don't know. But they then said it so nicely and well right, what was the point of coming to Florida if I didn't use my free time to do stuff?

So I dropped them off and after grabbing stuff from Walgreens and sitting in the car for a while just long enough for me to find the buttons and adjust the wheel and the seat (Yes I drive like an old lady so what?)
I drove and drove and drove, and I found only restaurants open and I was no longer hungry so I kept on driving, until I saw it! a weirdly shaped building! It was the Ripley's Believe it of Not museum I didn't expect it to be open it was after 10 pm but I also really had to pee, So I went in prepared to ask to use the bathroom when oh my great surprise the place was still open apparently they take people in until 11 pm so I had luck !

I got to see a whole bunch of crazy stuff that are probably not true, Check out the pics Of the Weirdness I saw.

Afterwards I finally picked up everyone else and I was so tired! I needed sleep but it wasn't bed time just yet. I arrived for the pick up and was asked to sit, and met a whole bunch of more people who are some how involved in the tile business, all of a sudden these men and my bosses decide we should go drinking! I like to drink I really do, I just wasn't all that comfortable drinking with my bosses and a bunch of literally strangers!

But I ordered a long island Ice tea and took small sips of it just to keep up appearances. Everyone was very nice, And there was even an older man, let call him JV who was so hansom, I mean even despite the age difference I could see he had something going on. But Nothing turns me off more than a guy who flirts with everyone and then you realize he is married. I mean come on, how is that appealing? It's like advertising that you are a cheater! So anyway there was also another guy who was new to the company we began talking and it was nice, we both felt a bit of like outsiders to this whole group of people who knew each other forever so it was nice to not sit in awkward silence all night. The thing about this guy is he talked so much! and At first it's interesting cause he is talking about these hundreds of locations he has visited and giving me traveling advice but after a while.I notice I could just nod and not talk and he would keep on talking! I hate it when guys don't let me speak! I am not a doll ! I am not here to help out man' egos I am a person with opinions and things to say so If you expect me to listen to you you should have the decency to let me speak!

The guy then began telling me about all the different kinds of beers in the world, I interrupted him and explained that I hate beer, I detest it. He took it as a challenge he ordered me a beer. See ? This kind of people are not fun! So I smiled like an idiot, I wanted to scream but one doesn't scream on business trips.
So I tasted his beer and although it wasn't completely disgusting I still didn't love it. after that the guy talked a little less, and then he left, he gave me his business card and said to call him anytime. Yeah right!

Finally they closed the bar on us and I can't even explain how thrilled I was to be heading to the hotel I mean after whole day with out a break I was dying for a bed! But My boss invited this JV Hottie to the hotel, the hottie who kept calling me Rosemary he said that name suited me better cause I was so blonde, he was wasted.

So we all left for the hotel and they stayed up later making a lot of noise but I was exhausted so I left for my room (where I had to share a bed with one of my bosses, I don't like sharing my bed!)

Get ready for day Two !!! things got so much better!!!

What Could Have Been

I like where my life is right now.

I am Happy. I am content. I have amazing plans for this year and well I am trying to enjoy things as they come.

But still on some days like today,  I wonder what life would have been like if things in my life had turned out different. So here next is a story of what things could have been like:

So where to begin? What if my dad never cheated on my mom? I am starting this far back because I think its one of the things that affects me even today. Not in the oh I am still traumatizing kind of way, but in the way that its one of those things that changed my life completely.

So If my parents had never gotten their divorce, then I would never have gone to live to Guadalajara. And if I'd never gone I'd never would have met people in my life who became treasures in my life like my neighbors. If my parents never had gotten a divorce I'd probably would have graduated high school from the same school I started Kindergarten. I'd have the same friends and I'd most likely still be living in El Paso. I might even have a closer relationship with my dad's side of the family. And maybe even have more siblings. And I probably have less issues with relationships and I'd probably be so sick of living in the same place my whole entire life that I'd be searching for a study abroad program or something along those lines.

But what if all that divorce had stayed the same and my crucial decision was when I was graduating High school:

What If I'd had the guts to tell the guy I liked that I wanted to be more then friends? Well he probably would have thought I was kidding, and very nicely he would have pushed me back on to the Friend Zone where I belonged. Which by the way would have ruined the friendship, not that it matters now, since we aren't friends anymore but back then I thought we'd be friends for life. Funny how people never think things can end.

But what if by some sort of miracle he'd liked me? Then I guess we would have dated and maybe we'd had one of those relationships that people are jealous of. But then he'd most likely get bored of it. And like his many other girlfriends I'd be just one of the pack. And then the friendship would really be dead.

What if instead of choosing the creative writing degree I went with the crazy Felicity Dream of following the guy I was in love with to study psychology in some awesome Mexican City? Well I'd probably have continued to fantasize about him and I. As a stupid high school girl I had mayor fantasies. Those dreams where my best friend would realize that I was in love with him and he all of a sudden loved me too and puff we 'd have a happily ever after. Yeah then when nothing happened between him and me I'd see him go after girl after girl. But never me just as in High school. Then I'd be stuck  living in a city where I knew no one, where I had a degree that although probably more lucrative then Creative writing would still not be what I wanted.  So yeah definitely glad I didn't follow!

What if instead of moving to Austin with my family I'd have stayed in El Paso?
Interesting. I might have a cooler job. But would El Paso satisfy me? I mean not that I don't like it but now I can never imagine myself living back there. But lets pretend that El Paso was all I ever knew. Maybe I'd be content, but for how long could I go with out my family there? or how long could I manage living in constant routine? One of the reliefs of moving was not having to see that one guy. That one guy that went to my school and took most of my classes and would most likely work in the same places I'd want to work. That guy that I dated and realize he was a mistake right of the bat. That one guy you date just to get over the fact that the guy you care about is marrying someone else. That one guy who's tongue felt like a cold smoky fish in your mouth. The guys who almost ruined kissing for me.  Yeah I definitely Never want to see that guy again.

What if in Austin I'd never joined the group? What If I'd finished my LSAT prep? What If I'd actually taken the LSAT? What if I'd never fallen for the Overly-Expressive Eyes? What if I'd never met the Teddy bear?
What if I'd never let my self fall? What if I'd given myself the chance to date someone else? What If I never worked at the Church? What if i'd never met my Pen Pal? What if I'd never stopped the slicing? What if I'd gone to more parties? What if I'd cared more about money than dreams? What if I actually dared to send my stories to be published? What if I for once didn't act like a stalker? What if I'd been more daring? What if I'd been a bit more mischievous? What if I...

Okay the game is starting to get harder. There are so many Fucking What If's!!!

I think this isn't healthy.

In conclusion there are many What if's I question about my life.
Hundreds of questions and paths my life could have taken.
Have I chosen all the correct ones?
No.
But at the very least I haven't chosen all the wrong ones.

I am walking, stumbling through life. An I learn something new with each twist and turn that I make.
I might not be living the life that I had envisioned for my self. but at least I feel happy. I feel like I am where I was suppose to be. Despite the regrets I might have, regardless of the people I should have ignored or the people I should have hanged on too. Despite it all, I am here I am Okay. I am confident in this life I've chosen for myself. And who knows I might still have yet time to make more out of it.

Self Hair Torture

As I mentioned in a Previous post. I am trying to do the Water Only Hair Washing Method.
I was loving it !!!

Truly my split ends began to look better. its smoother and it looks great.
Contrary to my initial belief. My hair didn't smell. Which was a huge relief

But my mom kept saying I was loosing shine. She insisted that my hair looked dull and not very life like. Later on my aunt began to agree with her.

So what did I do? I looked in to natural solutions the No Poo fans have great answers for this.

After reading about millions of methods I decided to go with Eggs.

Yes I scrambled eggs in to my head.

Well first I scrambled it in to a plate along with some green tea. I then proceeded to place the mix on my hair. It was the single most disgusting thins I have ever done to myself. It smelled disgusting and I had no clue if I was doing it right.

So after placing my hair in a plastic bag I left the mixture on for ten minuets (The longest ten minuets of my life). Afterwards I took a shower. I read somewhere that just water should wash the egg just fine, Using  cold water because apparently hot water could have the risk of cooking the egg on my head, and well that would be a far worst problem. .

So I used water. And when I was done showering I combed it. and I noticed I STANK!

As in gross egg head. As in I felt dirty and gross!

So I took my cloths off again and jumped in to that shower again grabbed a bottle of my coconut shampoo and scrubbed like I've never scrubbed before. Then for precaution I added some Sea breeze conditioner.

My hair is looking shinier but now I don't know if its because of the egg and the green te or if its because of the shampoo?

So I am starting the Only water method again today. I'll keep you guys posted.

Here are some pics.  You are all welcome to laugh at my expense

Growing Up (Still)

Next week I am heading for my first business trip ever!!!

I like how it makes me sound very grown up.

I am really excited. But really nervous!

I never imagined myself on a business trip. I have absolutely no idea of what to expect.

I mean I sell tile. Not exactly something I ever thought would make me have to travel

I don't know why exactly I was asked to come to a business trip.
.
Its not like I get to make any decisions on the products we sell or anything.

In any case I like the idea of feeling grown up.

I am 27 years old I always imagined when I was younger that my life would be more together.

I had a life plan. The kind of plan you see people in movies make.

Finish college, work then maybe be discovered and become someone well known and respected.

And who knew maybe along the way meet a nice guy but the picket fence with the red door.

Get a dog or two. have four to six kids. then like a fairy tale live happily ever after.

Now, I know better.

Now I see how silly it is to have a life plan.

The truth is you can't plan life.

Life is a mean roller coaster that turns left when you thought it was going right,

Life plummets down in a second and all of a sudden you hear it laughing at your plans.

I am not complaining. I love where Life has taken me. For one I Trust God.

I have met people that I thought I would hate and instead ended up loving. I've met priests, and Engineers, and Heretics, Teachers and dentists and well all sorts of people who enrich my life.

I've learn things about my self, like how I can adjust to any job: From a front office assistant to a  a semi-accountant.

Life showed me that sometimes clean breaks from people are healthier on the long run, even when letting go hurts like a billion burning embers crushing your chest.

Life thought me that people who love you will tell you the truth no matter how much it hurts, no matter how mad you get at them, if its true trust that its because they loved you, don't be blind and open your eyes.

I've also learned that Dr. Pepper is bad for you, Acne never ever disappears completely, Chewing gum is never attractive, best friends never leave, blood is thicker than water, everyone hates something about themselves, its hard to stay mad if you force a smile, old habits are hard to kill (like my nervous nail biting). People you trust will sometimes betray you trust me you'll get over it, we repeat the things we hate so let go and move on. Babies are cute but a hassle, birds will one day rebel against humans and peck our eyes out. Lasik isn't for me, I can not dance, i can not sing but I do both of them anyways. I love the cold but I am learning to appreciate the summer as well. Best Ice cream flavor is vanilla, best topping Sprinkles. Day dreaming is a good solution when stuck in traffic, (I've written alternative stories to The Walking Dead, Bones, Once upon a Time, etcetera). Never run from your mistakes, face them running only makes it worst. Things are better when in the right company, Sometimes you alone are the right company. Try everything at least once, except Drugs, Do NOT do Drugs. Never stop taking risks, never use uncomfortable shoes no matter how beautiful they are, remember you only have two feet, save money but splurge ever so often on a little whim, Enjoy the little things, Make a journal, but only with the happy things in life, it helps to read it on the low days.

Life has made it possible for me to me learn that the fairy tale ending isn't always as good as it seems.
After all a Fairy tale never tells you what happened after, Who knows maybe Cinderella still had to clean, and this time not a house but a palace! What if the seven dwarfs moved in with Snow White. did she have to serve 7 tiny men plus a full size prince? So many unanswered questions.

So now I make plans but I am fully opened to adjusting to anything that life throws.

I guess I am growing up.

When I was 7 I thought I'd already be a grown up by age 27 but I am not.

I mean maybe technically I am.

After all, I can Vote, I can Drink, I can play black Jack in a  Casino,

but I still have a lot to figure out.

I guess I am still growing up.

So Are you all Grown up?
What have you learned, so far?

Crazy me? Maybe.

So this is going to sound insane!

Trust me!

I have not used Shampoo on my hair for 6 full days!!!

What am I thinking!!!

Well actually I am experimenting on joining a new movement called No Poo

It is the theory that using Shampoo on ones hair is more damaging than helpful.

Let me begin by saying I tried every shampoo out there! I tried well known brands, and even unknown brands of shampoo. And yes some of them have wonderful fragrances but the truth is my hair kept rebelling against them.

My hair kept getting the worst split ends of my life!!!

So I began searching the web for an answer and voila!

The No Poo method came to me.

There are actually a lot of ways to do this. From using backing soda or apple vinegar. I even read about another girl who used coffee to wash her dark brown hair, she said it smelled amazing! To the most Extreme No Poo method!!!

Just using water!

I know sounds deluded and Gross. But as soon as I read it (http://www.thepolivkafamily.com/2013/02/beyond-no-poo-water-washing-update/ ) I became intrigued. Water? Sounded simple enough!
Plus imagine the money I would save!!!

So I did it. I went cold turkey!

For the first three days I did not wash my hair, I did not even get it wet. I kept obsessively sniffing it for fear that people might notice. But no one did!!! Obviously I began to comb it exaggeratedly. But only because I began to love what I was feeling!, My hair began to feel much less coarse. I read that at first it might feel oily and icky and yes but it also began to feel fuller and softer right away!

By the fourth day I decided it was time to get it wet. I was terrified. What if I ended smelling like wet dog!

So I washed it just by rubbing my fingers in my scalp and through my hair. I did it with nice warm water (Apparently to Hot water can burn it) Then at the end I let freezing water all through my head. It was so awful but apparently doing this is healthy for ones hair. Who knew?

After I showered I put some Coconut oil in my hair to smooth it a bit. But i mistakenly used to much. my hair smelled great but it looked too oily and unwashed. So I did have to repeat the water usage the next day. This time I added a minuscule amount of oil just to the tips of my hair. I am loving the way it looks.

My mom still thinks I have gone insane she says my hair looks less shinny. It freaked me out at first but after I combed it I got compliments from other people about how nice my hair was looking. I frankly think people who know about the method and find it gross are biased to looking at the bad.

I sincerely am loving the No poo Water Only Method and will continue using it for the foreseeable future! I totally encourage others to try it out!!! Let me know Show me some pics!!!
