So as you probably recall, I've been having to go to the dentist for the last weeks due to my implant falling out, and having to be replaced and fixed etcetera!
And as you also recall having a cute dentist working on my mouth made me start to wonder if dentitst enjoy kissing? Or do they notice weird bateria, and crooked teeth when they are on dates.
So here is what happened on my last appointment:
My dentist brought me in for a check up, and he is looking in my mouth with like two instruments and he is talking saying stuff like "Oh good its healing nicely"
When all of a sudden he sounds really surprised and well weirdly excited and he says "Oh wow you have a geographic tongue!"
I am staring at him blankly cause well, I don't believe I've heard him correctly. I try to say "What?" Which since his hands are in my mouth comes out sounding like "Whaaaaoooot" He laughs and removes his hands from my mouth and finally I am able to ask "What?"
"You have a Geographic tongue, look please stick your tongue out" So then he and the assistant are both staring at my tongue, and he is pointing stuff out to her, like, "See how it looks like a little country?" My eyes must have looked panicked since, he immediately clarified "Oh its nothing to worry about, My wife (Yes he is married, sigh! all good men are) has Geographic tongue, It just means your tongue never looks the same. It sort of shifts" I later went online and found out it just makes me more sensible to things like spicy or hot, which might be the reason I don't like jalapeƱos or anything like that.
So I am laughing in relief that its nothing and then my dentist starts telling me about how when he was dating his wife, he pointed it out that she had a Geographic tongue, and how his wife got mad, and told him to never look at her mouth again! But on another date he did and he discovered a filling and that really made his future bride-to-be furious! But they are married so I am guessing the discomfort must have died down
So there you have it!, When dating a dentist beware he will give you an extensive mouth exam on each date!!! it has its pros and cons I guess.
